Scientific Collaborations with FHM University of Germany
In 2018, under the framework of MoU signed at 5 August in Berlin, Urmia University set out new scientific and academic collaborations with University of Applied Sciences-Fachhochschule Des Mittelstands (FHM) of Germany:
In February 2018 Urmia University and FHM agreed to establish a joint university branch in Makoo Free Zone of Iran.
Major purposes of this agreement are as follows:
Transferring Global German SMEs know how, techniques & methods, technology and sustainability solutions in FHM branch in Iran North West in the free zone area.
Establishment of short and long term educational program in dual system (in different levels), VET and applied science programs in industry, agriculture, art, management and social sciences and culture.
Establishment of some professional competency centers and standard development.
FHM University has agreed to organize the Licensing Business School and German Language School in Urmia University. FHM University has been selected as 3rd Business School of Germany.
FHM has offered a Professional Post-Doctoral Program in “Entrepreneurship and Business Development” to Urmia University graduates and any third party interested under supervision of Urmia University.
Total cost of this program for the applicants is 4200 €. The courses and project will be taught and supervised by both universities. Program duration is 18-24 Months.
